Plants, more than any other living organism, are very closely associated with the environment. Evolution has played a fundamental role in adapting them to the places where they grow and reproduce. Environmental characteristics are determined by the type of soil, temperature, presence of water, and sunlight. Some natural environments have been reproduced in the Garden, and contain their typical plants.
